Sky has announced its latest Italian Sky Original drama, “Gucci – Fine dei Giochi” (working title), a high-end family saga set to begin filming in spring 2026. The series will be co-produced by Sky Studios and Lucky Red and directed by Gabriele Muccino, known for films such as “The Last Kiss” and “The Pursuit of Happyness.” It is based on the memoir “Fine dei giochi: Luci e ombre sulla mia famiglia” by Allegra Gucci, daughter of Patrizia Reggiani and Maurizio Gucci.

Described as a modern family epic, the series will trace the rise and fall of the Gucci family, whose luxury brand defined the global image of “Made in Italy.” Told through multiple timelines, it will dramatize how a small leather workshop evolved into a fashion empire, only to implode under the weight of rivalry, ambition, and a murder that made headlines around the world.

At the heart of the series are two women: Patrizia Reggiani, who married into the Gucci dynasty and was later convicted of orchestrating her husband’s murder, and her daughter Allegra Gucci, who seeks to understand the truth and reclaim her family’s identity. The narrative blends high drama with real-life scandal, promising a compelling blend of style, power, and psychological depth.

The writing team includes Isabella Aguilar, Flaminia Gressi, and director Muccino himself. According to Sky, the show will explore “the power of a name, the price of fame, and the allure of success and money — lots of money.”

“Gucci – Fine dei Giochi” continues Sky’s strategic investment in premium local originals that can travel globally. The series is positioned to appeal to international buyers, leveraging both the Gucci brand and the true-crime intrigue surrounding the family’s collapse. With strong IP, a star director, and Sky’s production muscle, the show is expected to be one of the company’s flagship dramas entering 2026.
