SPi productions "Motel Valkirias" and "Codex 632" awarded at The New York Festivals

RTP's major international co-productions "Motel Valkirias" and "CODEX 632", produced by SPi, were awarded silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the Drama category of the New York Festivals-Tv & Film Awards.

These two awards confirm the quality of Portuguese fiction in a competition featuring international productions from around the world, including the United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, Spain and Argentina, among others.

"Motel Valkirias" brings together RTP, HBO Max, Televisión de Galicia and the production companies SPi and CTV in a plot centred on the lives of three women, with major economic and personal problems, who cross paths fortuitously, against the backdrop of a cross-border motel between Galicia and Portugal.

Based on the bestseller by José Rodrigues dos Santos, "CODEX 632" brings us the adventures of a man who didn't want to be a hero, a project resulting from a partnership between RTP, GLOBOPLAY and SPi. The two co-productions that are available on RTP Play.

The New York Festivals -Tv & Film Awards is a highly prestigious festival worldwide and one of its main aims is to encourage the younger generation into the film and television industry.
