Starz acquires “Ghislaine Maxwell: Life On trail” from All3media Interntional

The company will take on the task of distribution the Roast Beef Production title shortly after inittiating a co-production deal with the company, introducing its project to audiences in the US and Latin America as well as Europe as DR (Denmark), NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden and VRT in Flemish Belgium.

All3Media International has agreed to take on a US co-production rights deal with STARZ for the highly anticipated documentary “Ghislaine Maxwell: Life on Trial.”“The number of deals already signed in key territories is testament to the film’s impeccable quality and impressive credentials, and it’s a privilege to work with Roast Beef Productions in bringing it to a global audience," Rachel Job, SVP Non-Scripted, said. "This is first in our strategy to build premium factual co-production slate in the US.”

Slated to debut on Channel 4 post the conclusion of the trail, projected for early 2022, the title is also now set to air in Latin America as HBO Latin America signs pan-regional rights and in Australia following a deal with Network Ten. This adds to deals concluded throughout Europe as DR (Denmark), NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden and VRT in Flemish Belgium acquire the special. Directed by Erica Gornall, the Roast Beef production, recipients of numerous industry accolades including two Academy Award nominations, Sundance Awards, Emmy Awards and Grierson Awards. Produced by Mike Lerner and Katherine Haywood, the series is executive produced by Dorothy Byrne.

Showcasing the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell, who faces trial this year on charges of sex trafficking and the abuse of underage girls which could see her jailed for decades. The alleged procuress for Epstein, Maxwell’s reputation is now under scrutiny. But who is she and how did she go from life in an English stately home to a prison cell in New York?From a genre-leading creative team, this film will speak exclusively to a diverse range of people, who will help illuminate Maxwell’s trajectory from a privileged childhood in Oxford, to the elite worlds of London and New York, to her descent into the Brooklyn State Penitentiary. The team will also follow the events of the trail in New York in Autumn 2021 with access to legal process, journalists and contributors close to the trial.
