Talpa Studios closed deals for the realities "Million Dollar Island" in Bulgaria and "No Way Back" in the United States. In the first case, they partnered with a Danish company for the adaptation of the format, which will be broadcast on the Bulgarian network bTV. Meanwhile, the American adaptation of "No Way Back" resulted from a collaboration between Talpa and Banijay-owned Bunim/Murray Productions & The Natural Studios.

"Million Dollar Island" is a social experiment in which one hundred people try to stay on a remote desert island for two months for a chance at winning one million dollars. Surviving the harsh conditions with limited means isn't the only challenge. Each contestant starts the adventure with a bracelet worth 10,000 dollars. While they're on the island, contestants can gain and lose bracelets by competing in various games.

Ralf Bartoleit, CEO of bTV Media Group, expressed his satisfaction with the content's new destination: "I am delighted that we have the opportunity to bring this successful global format to the Bulgarian market for the first time. The changes in bTV's programming have been significant, and since the beginning of the year, we've seen excellent results with all the new shows that were launched in the spring season."

Sebastian van Barneveld, Director of Global Distribution at Talpa Studios, referred to the adaptability of the content: "We're very excited about our collaboration with bTV and CME on this adventurous social experiment. By introducing this format to Bulgaria, we not only strengthen the presence of our projects across the CEE region but also demonstrate the format's flexibility and adaptability in terms of structure and scheduling. We eagerly await Bulgaria's unique take on 'Million Dollar Island.' We're sure it will feature lots of inspiring stories."

In "No Way Back," 16 fearless adventurers, guided by a well-known former Special Forces member, embark on a grueling 12-day trail in Norway's rugged nature with no less than 100.000 euros at stake. The trail is divided into several stages that become more difficult along the way. Under extremely harsh conditions, the adventurers face the most adrenaline-charged challenges.

The reality made its mark in the Netherlands. It achieved the best-ever ratings of any adventure reality show to premiere on SBS6. During its premiere, it boasted a market share peak of 17.3% among the key demographic of 25-59 and maintained strong performance throughout the season. The show's finale became the most-watched episode with 811,000 viewers - all excellent numbers to send the show off for its international debut.

Julie Pizzi, President Bunim/ Murray, praised the teamwork: "We are thrilled to be teaming up with John and the team at Talpa Studios on 'No Way Back,' which clearly resonated with Dutch viewers right out of the gate, and we expect it to do likewise here in the US, especially with someone as experienced in adventure as Bear Grylls onboard."

Finally, John de Mol, Owner of Talpa Studios, celebrated the introduction of the format in the US: "Following the introduction of two successful quiz show formats in the US, we are excited to now bring 'No Way Back,' our new adventure reality format, to the world's most significant TV market. With 'No Way Back', we are introducing a pioneering format to the global stage, underscored by our collaboration with 'Bear Grylls', an international phenomenon in the world of survival. Bear's involvement, given his vast experience and the groundbreaking shows he has led, elevates this format to new heights, promising an unparalleled adventure for both participants and viewers."
