Paolo Manera, Cristina Priarone and Maurizio Gemma
The Italian Film Commission Association elected the new Board of Directors with the renewal for a second term of Cristina Priarone from Roma Lazio Film Commission as President, as well as the second term of Paolo Manera from Film Commission Torino Piemonte and Maurizio Gemma from the Film Commission Regione Campania, also as Vice-president.
Cristina Priarone highlighted:"The Coordination will work to continue strengthening the role of the Italian Film Commissions, to promote the resources of the regions and increase the driving force of the audiovisual sector. The growth of the territories, their professionals and talents through the sector of audiovisual, consolidates a precious key for the growth of our country on the global stage”.
Vice President Maurizio Gemma stated: “I am very proud to return to a role on the IFC Board after serving as President some ten years ago. It is important that a Southern Film Commission represents the demands of very attractive territories, which in these areas have shown great dynamism that must be consolidated within the framework of national policies that concern our sector”.
Paolo Manera in his second term as Vice President declared: "I am happy to be able to continue the work started three years ago and collaborate together with all the Film Commissions and the members of the supply chain in a great project of growth and development of the territories, in an even more international perspective, of quality and transversal social responsibility". On the other hand, the executive reconfirmed the role of General Secretary to Tina Bianchi.
The Formation of the Association of Italian Film Commissions had the participation of the representatives of the Italian Film Commissions for the usual annual training and updating meeting. Giampaolo Letta, Vice President and AD Medusa Film, Massimiliano Orfei AD Vision Distribution, Giona A. Nazzaro Director of Locarno Film Festival, Maria Pia Ammirati Director Rai Fiction, Ben Firminger Supervising Location Manager, Domizia De Rosa, Women in Film, Televison & Media Italia, Marzia Macchiarella Specialist DEI as well as the Undersecretary of Culture Lucia Borgonzoni, with the direction of the critic Enrico Magrelli and the documentalist Francesco Zippel.
IFC's next international appointment will be at the Berlin Film Festival at the European Film Market, in the context of the Italian Pavilion, an institutional space created with the contribution of the MiC, MAECI, ICE Italian Trade Agency, Cinecittà, ANICA.
