"The Tree of Wisdom"
The Wiggles have announced an exciting new chapter celebrating the wildly popular character "The Tree of Wisdom" including a forthcoming studio album (out October 3), and two brand-new singles available now.
The Tree of Wisdom has taken over the internet, with his signature “dance like no-ones watching” routines going viral on social media, tallying over 200 million views, and a growing, devoted fanbase that includes Khloé Kardashian and countless other parents around the globe.
The man behind the twirling trunk is Dominic Field, nephew of OG Blue Wiggle Anthony Field, “People just seem to connect with my character and my dance moves” says Dominic. “They're the kind of moves everyone grew up with, like the classic sprinkler. I’ve got a new one I call “shakin’ the leaves”. For some reason, my dancing seems to generate a lot of laughter from both children and grown-ups … I just own it!”
NEW SONGS
Ahead of the album release, two new tracks have been unveiled today: ‘Nutbush City Limits’ and ‘Rika-Pudy-Fan-Dan-Doogly!’.
Leading the charge is The Wiggles' reinvention of Tina Turner’s iconic ‘Nutbush City Limits’ - a song that has transcended generations in Australia to become a full-blown cultural phenomenon. “We know how huge Nutbush City Limits is in Australia, it’s not just a song, it’s a rite of passage,” says OG Blue Wiggle Anthony Field. “We’re so excited to give it a Wiggly spin and share that same energy and love of dance with families all over the world!”
Also out is the joyful original Rika-Pudy-Fan-Dan-Doogly!, a high-octane, nonsense-fuelled anthem of rhythm and imagination. This song is based on The Tree of Wisdom’s unforgettable catchphrase that’s already echoing through playgrounds and homes around the globe.
Both tracks are featured on The Tree of Wisdom – a dazzling album that will resonate with mothers, fathers, treeangers and preschoolers alike, out Friday October 3.
