Toon2Tango and Ja Film started production "Monster loving maniacs" second season

Kids and family entertainment venture Toon2Tango, a LEONINE Animation Studios company, has announced that it is once again joining forces with Ja Film and Ginger Pictures for the second season of "Monster Loving Maniacs," an animated adventure-comedy in classic 2D aimed at six-to-nine-year-olds.

Toon2Tango recently reacquired the distribution rights for many international territories from "Mondo Spa", meaning it now holds all worldwide distribution rights for both the first season and the upcoming second season. Like the first season — a hit in 150 countries — the partners will produce a 52x11’ 2D show about three kids trained as monster hunters by their tough old grandfather. There’s just one problem: the kids are huge horror fans. Why would they want to hunt their monster idols? They love dangerous paranormal creatures and always find a way to save the monsters.

"Monster Loving Maniacs" is packed with fun, excitement, and humor, while also exploring bigger themes like family, relationships, and dealing with our fears — all delivered with wit, energy, and stylish, high-quality animation. Ja Film and Ginger Pictures are again co-producing the series, this time alongside Toon2Tango, which served as the worldwide distributor for season one. The show is once again written and directed by its creators, Anders Berthelsen and Rune Christensen of the award-winning Ja Film animation studio.

Co-producer Ginger Pictures is a Benelux-based production company focused on new and bold ideas, backed by a strong development team of young talent and experienced executives. Broadcasters already on board for this proven success include DR, NRK, SVT, RUV (Iceland), and the BBC. Production of season two is now underway, with a target completion date of late 2026.

Both seasons of "Monster Loving Maniacs" will be distributed by Mediawan Kids & Family, Europe’s leading independent studio for global children’s and family content, following the recently announced strategic integration of Toon2Tango’s content portfolio into the Mediawan Kids & Family distribution catalogue. The first season of "Monster Loving Maniacs," commissioned by leading broadcasters SUPER RTL (Germany) and DR (Denmark), is already a ratings success internationally.

Season two of "Monster Loving Maniacs" joins a growing list of Toon2Tango productions, including the global hit "Agent 203," and upcoming titles such as "The Wee Littles," "Hey Fuzzy Yellow," "Showtime," "Dinomite & Lucy," and "Bravo Squad." Recent announcements from Toon2Tango include plans to produce content based on the popular Eldrador Creatures toy line by Schleich, as well as to distribute the inventive new show "ThinkerBen and Motor." It’s an impressive portfolio that highlights Toon2Tango’s strong positioning across preschoolers, children, tweens, and teens.
