Toonz Media Group and K6 Media Group recently launched new series "Li’l Santa" amid their content deal.“We are thrilled at Toonz Entertainment to start off with a strategic partnership with K6 Media Group as we set off the worldwide media distribution for Li’l Santa series and special,” Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Toonz, Bruno Zarka.
Toonz has acquired the exclusive rights to distribute the pre-school animation produced by K6 Media. The show, based on the superhit comic books by Lewis Trondheim and Thierry Robin, is currently in the final stages of post-production and is set to debut in October of this year. The company is tasked with distributing the show all over the world with exception of Canada, where it airs in French on TeleQuebec.
The 2D-animated series, targeted at pre-schoolers and family viewers, will offer 52 1-minute shorts a few days shy of Halloween, following the North Pole adventures of Li’l Santa and culminates during the holidays with a delightful 22-minute Christmas special episode. The show, currently available in English and French dubs will be available in more languages soon.
Co-authored by a celebrated French cartoonist, Lewis Trondheim, and award-winning French comic book creator, Thierry Robin, the "Li’l Santa" books have sold over a million copies in more than seven countries. The animated version retells the heart-warming stories of "Li’l Santa" and his friends and their magical moments.
Targeted at millenial families, the series displays lesson that teach the importance of friendliness and eco-friendly behavior. “It’s so exciting to be working together with a partner who we are confident will help us do this delightful, evergreen IP, the justice it deserves,” Laurent M.
