International news platform TRT World is expanding its global distribution with MEO, TV operator of Altice Portugal. TRT World is now available in the Portuguese market through the leading operator, airing on channel 226 in the news channel category.
TRT World, launched in 2015 and headquartered in Istanbul with four newsrooms located around the world, offers an alternative viewpoint on global and domestic events, challenging perceived narratives and providing a much needed new perspective on news.
Furkan Han, TRT World’s Head of Global Digital & Satellite Distribution & Partnership, stated that “We are delighted to have reached an agreement with Altice Portugal. TRT World will now be available to MEO subscribers and guests staying at many hotels across Portugal.”
