Workerbee Group, part of Banijay UK, announced the launch of Navybee, a brand-new label from renowned producer Demi Doyle. Housed within the company, the new business will focus on talent-led premium documentaries. Setting up her new label within the Workerbee Group, led by CEO Rick Murray, Demi Doyle will build on her access documentary experience and work with high profile names from the worlds of entertainment and sport, and with unprecedented access, seek to tell their stories with warmth, humour and compassion.
During almost seven years at Optomen Television, Doyle was responsible for creating and producing a host of high-profile shows including “Tyson Fury: The Gypsy King” (ITV), “At Home with The Furys” (Netflix) and hit reality show “Absolutely Ascot” (ITVBe). She also developed and produced “Sort Your Life Out with Stacey Solomon” (BBC One), “Genderquake” (Channel 4) and “Getting Filthy Rich” (ITV). Prior to joining Optomen, Doyle spent time at RDF, Boundless, TwoFour and Studio Lambert producing “The Secret Life of 4,5,6 Year Olds,” “The Apprentice,” “Gogglebox,” “Educating Cardiff and London” and “Naked Attraction.”

This is the second investment for the Workerbee Group. The first was its backing of North-East Wales-based production label, Ty’r Ddraig. Part of Banijay UK, it was established in 2022 to both push into new genre areas and to nurture both new and established talent with a focus in the North of England and other under invested areas.
