ZDF joins season two of Acorn TV's “Harry Wild” as co-producer

Dynamic Television announced that ZDF has joined season two of Acorn TV’s Irish mystery thriller “Harry Wild” and that Acorn TV has extended the season’s episode order, which will now consist of two six-episode seasons.

Dynamic Television announced that ZDF has joined season two of Acorn TV’s Irish mystery thriller “Harry Wild” and that Acorn TV has extended the season’s episode order, which will now consist of two six-episode seasons. The drama stars award winning actress Jane Seymour and is produced by Dynamic Television and Metropolitan Films, with Dynamic handling worldwide distribution.

Production on season two and three is currently underway in Dublin with season two expected to premiere in 2023. RTE Ireland, TV4 Sweden, MTV3 Finland, Daro in Eastern Europe, OTE Greece, and BBC Studios in Benelux, Poland and Pan Asia have already picked up the second season of the popular series, which additional partners expecting to confirm shortly.

“In this crowded market, it is rare for a show to perform so well across so many territories. We are thrilled our partners had so much success with ‘Harry Wild’ and we are looking forward to an even more exciting season two,”  commented Daniel March and Klaus Zimmermann, Managing Partners at Dynamic Television.

“Harry Wild” stars Seymour as a recently retired English professor who discovers a real knack for investigation and cannot help but interfere with the cases assigned to her police detective son. The second season will present new cases and challenges for Harry and her young sidekick Fergus (Rohan Nedd).

“‘Harry Wild’ is an outstanding series which was very well received by our audience. A fantastic show like this is only possible with the passion of a talented cast and crew. Jane Seymour and Rohan Nedd share a chemistry that makes them an amazing team. This series is a delight to watch,”  said Simone Emmelius, Senior Vice President International Fiction at ZDF.
