“The Book of Boba Fett”
In its latest study about SVOD demand in Brazil, Parrot Analytics revealed which were the most outstanding series in the country during February. The company contextualized each title within the market by stating the show's performance as different from the average demand for a series in the market. A difference of 1x represents the market average and 10x means a series is ten times more in demand than the average TV show in this market.
“The Book of Boba Fett” topped the ranking in February in Brazil with 21 times the demand of the average series. The Disney+ original premiered at the end of December and had its finale on February 9. Key crossovers between this show and “The Mandalorian” helped boost demand for “The Mandalorian” in February as well.
Two superhero series from HBO Max had high demand in Brazil in February: “Titans” and “Peacemaker” ranked as the second and third most in-demand digital original series for the month, respectively. Brazil is a market that has high demand for superhero content in general. In fact, two other superhero series made it into this month's top 10 ranking: “WandaVision” and “Hawkeye”.
At the same time, “All of us are Dead,” Netflix's latest Korean drama, did well in Brazil this month, where it had 13.1 times the average series demand. Netflix has had a string of recent Korean series that have had globally high demand, part of a multi-year trend of growing global demand for content from Korea.
