ESTRELLA TV UNVEILS NEW AVOD GAMING CHANNEL

The channel will debut this summer on Roku and Apple iOS devices with over 20,000 hours of multi-generational programming and live Estrella Media Channels. In addition, the company announced the launch of Estrella Games, the first 24/7 Spanish-language game show channel now live on Vizio.

Estrella Media is set to launch its third free, ad-supported streaming TV channel, Estrella Games. "We committed to our audience last year to entertain, educate, and give them opportunities to laugh," said Peter Markham, CEO of Estrella Media.

The new channel is part of the “Experience Estrella. Everywhere” strategy the company presented at its NewFront presentation on Wednesday and during virtual upfront meetings with advertisers and media buyers. The network prioritizes news, sports, game shows, and reality programming. “We amplify the voices of our fans and give them the content they want in an expanded digital and linear universe. It's time for our fans to Experience Estrella. Everywhere,” Markham said.

Estrella Games will have multi-generational family and interactive programs including "100 Latinos Dijeron," "La Mascara del Amor," "Reto Famoso," "Jugando con Patanito" and "Still Standing." The channel was planned as the first full-time Spanish-language game show channel, launched on Vizio’s SmartCast. On Wednesday Xumo, Game Show Network, and Sony Picture Television also announced the launch of Sony Canal Competancias, a game show destination in Spanish.

The channel joined EstrellaTV and Estrella News, which are on Pluto TV and other outlets. Its EstrellaTV AVOD app will be available on Roku this month and Apple iOS this summer, with other platforms, to debut in the near future. The app gives user access to the three streaming channels and 20,000 on demand programming.  Virtual presentations featured related hosts and creators of the EstrellaTV network’s flagship series that continue to debut and air throughout the month of May.
