Fanatiz announced an increase in viewership numbers on the heels of “El Clásico” match and the recent monthly price reduction for new and existing subscribers. All in all, Fanatiz saw an increase in US viewers of 61% over the previous biggest event shown on the soccer streaming platform, likely supported by a 45% increase in new subscribers since October.

Bolstered by the recent reduced pricing model, Fanatiz digital viewership of the match between Real Madrid and Barcelona also increased with 90% tuning in from either a mobile device or computer – mainly due to the fact that the match aired on a weekday during business hours. West Coast fans comprised 17% of viewers, while the majority of tune-in came from East Coast viewers (48%). The remaining 35% were scattered throughout the country.

“This past year has been an exciting one for our brand, hitting key milestones that continue to serve our loyal soccer fan base,”  said Matías Rivera, CEO and Founder of Fanatiz. “Reflecting on the viewership numbers from ‘El Clásico’ match – especially during weekday hours in the middle of the busy holiday season – further affirms the thirst and loyalty of our soccer fan base. We can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store,”  he added.

In addition to LaLiga, Fanatiz brings consumers the most exciting games from top-flight Argentinian and Colombian soccer leagues while also providing access to premier South American tournaments such as Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana, in addition to other marquis sports programming from partners.
