Fox Corporation has officially announced the launch of its new direct-to-consumer streaming platform, Fox Nation One, set to go live before the 2025 NFL season kickoff. The ad-supported service will aggregate content from across Fox’s sprawling media empire, offering a centralized platform for live sports, news, and entertainment.

Fox One will consolidate content from Fox Entertainment, Fox Sports, Fox News Media, and Tubi, aiming to deliver a broad array of live and on-demand programming. While pricing details remain undisclosed, the company has confirmed that the platform will be available via subscription and will feature multiple pricing tiers, with an ad-supported base option.

“This is a major milestone in Fox Corporation’s digital evolution,” said Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch. “Fox One will give us the ability to go directly to consumers with the full power of our brands—news, sports, and entertainment—on a single, unified platform.” Murdoch added that the launch is designed to enhance consumer choice and control while creating a new distribution channel for the company’s leading IP.

The timing is strategic. Launching ahead of the NFL season allows Fox to capitalize on its lucrative sports programming, including live NFL games, which remain among the most-watched broadcasts in the U.S. By anchoring Fox One with exclusive live events, the company aims to draw in viewers accustomed to linear TV and transition them into the streaming ecosystem.

Fox One will not replace Tubi, the free ad-supported service acquired by Fox in 2020. Instead, the two platforms will operate in parallel, with Fox One catering to subscribers seeking premium content and live programming, and Tubi continuing to serve users looking for free on-demand entertainment. According to Murdoch, “Tubi has seen tremendous growth and will remain a key piece of our streaming strategy. Fox One complements that by giving us a premium destination for live content.”

This move comes as Fox faces increasing pressure to expand its digital footprint in a highly competitive streaming landscape dominated by players like Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video. Unlike its rivals, Fox had so far refrained from launching a unified direct-to-consumer platform encompassing its entire portfolio. The launch of Fox One represents a significant strategic pivot.

While no exact date has been set, Fox confirmed that Fox One will debut before the 2025 NFL season begins, underscoring the importance of live sports as a foundational element of its digital push. With this new initiative, Fox positions itself to better monetize its content, deepen engagement with audiences, and gather valuable first-party data.

Fox One will also offer news programming, including live feeds from Fox News and Fox Business, as well as Fox Weather. Entertainment content will include current shows such as “The Masked Singer,” “9-1-1,” and “Hell’s Kitchen,” alongside older catalog titles. Sports coverage will extend beyond NFL games to include college football, MLB, and FIFA events.

The launch marks a critical juncture for Fox, which has historically prioritized its broadcast and cable operations. With Fox One, the company enters the subscription streaming space with a platform that aligns more closely with contemporary viewer habits. It signals a commitment to remain competitive in a media environment where direct-to-consumer access is not just a feature, but a necessity.
