Future Studios has launched "Glow Up Your Grades" (48 x 20’), an innovative new digital series aimed at helping British students succeed in their English GCSE exams. Hosted by Teacher, Author and Presenter Mehreen Baig, the channel is a multi-platform education-meets-entertainment series bringing students the ultimate revision programme.

Each episode is a different planned lesson where Mehreen takes students through all the skills they need in order to pass their English GCSE. Covid hit education hard - and young people from the most disadvantaged backgrounds faced the biggest impact. But here, students are being given free access to a real teacher and GCSE examiner, who will support them in their revision over the course of the series.

This series hopes to provide an important support network - particularly through building a community of students who are excited about their learning - and in turn, helping to improve their mental health and wellbeing. Lessons will be published on YouTube throughout February and March and shorter social formats to accompany the series will be simultaneously published across other social platforms.

Exec producers of "Glow Up Your Grades" are Jon Eastman, Ellie Winstanley and Al Brown. “When Mehreen first outlined her proposition of original content for a generation whose education was disrupted by COVID, I knew we had to get on board. It aligned perfectly with Future's goal of helping people learn and follow their interests, as well as our studio's love of program-making for youth audiences. Together with Mehreen, we couldn't be more excited to launch this ultimate masterclass for teenagers” said Al Brown, Future Studios’ Vice President of Content Strategy.

“The disparity in the British education system became more prominent during the pandemic, and currently schools - despite their best efforts - are not able to meet the needs of students who have missed out on key parts of the GCSE curriculum. Every child deserves an equal chance of success and I am determined to support the students who need it the most. We are living in a time where young people spend most of their time online - so this series will make education something which is both enjoyable and accessible for them. It’s time to change the face of education and transform the lives of teenagers. This is the most important project I have ever worked on.” said ‘Glow Up Your Grades’ presenter Mehreen Baig.

Other recent Future Studios’ digital-first series launches include “What The Aitch" for Snap Originals, "Ask The Mask" for Channel 4 and launching this year is "It's Mutual", for Channel 4.0”.

The company recently announced linear TV sales including "Unbelievable Me" - a co-production with TVF International and Warner Bros. Discovery which the network has picked up in the UK, Germany, Benelux, Italy, Latin America and Poland - and "Hillbilly Nation" for Channel 4.
