"King of the Hill"
Following the reveal of the resurrected series’ new key art earlier this month, Hulu has unveiled the opening credit sequence for the 14th season of "King of the Hill", which now has an official premiere date: August 4. The new age-progressed episodes will be available on Hulu, as well as through Hulu on Disney Plus. The footage debuted in tandem with the KotH reunion panel at the ATX TV Festival in Austin on Friday.
Produced by 20th Television Animation, "King of the Hill Season 14" is set roughly 30 years after the original Emmy-winning Fox series. It is created and executive produced by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, with Saladin Patterson ("Psych", "The Wonder Years", "Frasier") serving as executive producer and showrunner. Michael Rotenberg, Howard Klein, and Dustin Davis also serve as executive producers.
Returning voice stars include Mike Judge (Hank Hill, Jeff Boomhauer), Kathy Najimy (Peggy Hill), Stephen Root (Bill Dauterive), Pamela Adlon (Bobby Hill), and Lauren Tom (Minh and Connie Souphanousinphone). Toby Huss (Dickinson, Halt and Catch Fire), who previously voiced Kahn Souphanousinphone and Cotton Hill in the original run, has been announced as the new voice of conspiracy-obsessed exterminator Dale Gribble, taking over from the late Johnny Hardwick.
The show will acknowledge the passage of time: the first still image reveals that Bobby Hill, once a perpetual middle schooler, is now grown up. The updated opening credits retain the iconic alleyway and theme song by The Refreshments, but now feature a time-lapse montage showing the Hill family moving out of and then back into their home.
