Turkish national broadcaster TRT will introduce at Mipcom its brand-new streaming service tabii. As a digital streaming service offering Turkish TV series that attract a great deal of interest, tabii has been rolled out in May following a splendid inauguration ceremony, and is set to make its global debut at Mipcom, taking a significant step towards expanding its presence on the international stage.
Poised to grow into a flagship of Turkish drama in the digital streaming industry, tabii offers high quality content that embrace cultural diversity, resonate with families, and appeal to common values in various languages for viewers all around the world. The platform aims to make its unique position felt in the international digital streaming market through its storytelling that explores the cultures, heritage, and values of various lands.
Offering a diverse range of content across multiple genres, including historical dramas, action, comedy, and thrillers, among others, the global streaming service launched with more than 30 original productions in its first-year slate. Inspired by the success of TRT productions such as “Resurrection: Ertuğrul,” “Hold My Hand” and “Melek: A Mother's Struggle,” tabii offers new stories and new characters for viewers. In addition to TRT’s fan favorite content, tabii features original productions including TV series such as “Rumi,” “Free Sky,” “Little Archer: Iskender,” “Say No More,” “The Last Day,” and “Altay.”
During Mipcom 2023, which is scheduled to take place between October 16 and 19, tabii is inviting attendees to connect at TRT Booth P1.N51, where they will have the opportunity to “explore potential distribution partnership opportunities and be among the early adopters to experience the future of global streaming entertainment,” according to the company.
