OPTO SIC to launch "Red Moon: New Generation" in partnership with Prime Video

OPTO SIC and Prime Video have announced the launch of "Red Moon: New Generation", the highly anticipated return of one of the most iconic series in Portuguese television. Inspired by the universe that captivated thousands of fans in 2010, this new generation of the Portuguese vampire series promises to blend the original DNA with a more contemporary approach, aiming to cross borders and introduce new talent to the international market.

The nationwide casting for the show’s new characters took place in June, attracting thousands of applicants within just a few days—a strong and enthusiastic response from young people aged 16 to 25.The teen series, produced by SPi, will launch later this year exclusively on OPTO SIC and Prime Video.

In "Red Moon: New Generation", sixteen years after leaving their past behind, Afonso and Isabel’s quiet life in Sintra is shaken when their daughter, Sofia, becomes the centre of a new supernatural threat.
