Sky officially unveiled the launch of Sky Glass. The new platform will showcase a balance between drama and simplicity as it offers an advanced version of hardware, software and content integration. Sky Glass will be the only TV with award-winning Sky inside.
The new venture will give UK consumers first-ever access to Sky TV content without needing a satellite dish or box. The platform is available to buy in the region starting this month, and will launch in Sky’s other European markets beginning in 2022.
“Sky Glass is the streaming TV with Sky inside, providing the total integration of hardware, software and content,” Group Chief Executive Officer of Sky Group Dana Strong said. “Built on over 30 years of understanding what our customers want, this is a TV that only Sky could make.
