Australian AVOD and social monetisation company VA Media has reached a new milestone, surpassing 1.5 Billion views and 4.9 Million subscribers globally for its flagship YouTube channel, Movie Central. VA Media has delivered over $10 Million USD in revenue, over the last 4 years, to the world’s leading studios, distributors, and content owners by unlocking tailored fandom audiences across YouTube, Facebook, and other social video platforms.

With close to 2,000 films, clips, and episodes available on Movie Central alone, curated playlists and quality content continue to drive fans to VA’s Owned and Operated channels and 50+ managed channels. Viewership growth across VA Media’s global network has seen over an 15% increase year-over-year in correlation to the 33% growth in revenue generation for their clients and partners.

Commenting on the network’s growth, CEO Mark Ashbridge said: “It’s an absolute privilege to bring our trusted Movie Central community of engaged subscribers and viewers exciting and diverse content from leading distributors and licensors. During an age where the demand for content and the availability of streaming platforms has never been greater, our viewership, subscriber numbers, and revenue growth show us the current viability plus long-term growth potential for our business model of both Owned and Operated and Managed channels on YouTube and other AVOD and social media platforms. Our unmatched audiences, priority data intelligence, and detailed reporting systems continue to attract clients seeking new avenues to reach fans and maximise the life and value of their films.”

BIG SUCCESS
Top performing films across Movie Central’s YouTube community include: “Ninja” with over 36 Million views (Framerate), film “Convict” with 27 Million views, (Indie Rights), and “Titanic II” with 26 Million views (The Asylum).

David Rimawi, founder of The Asylum, who has collaborated with Movie Central for almost 200 titles, including the channel’s third most popular film “Titanic II” said: “For The Asylum, VA Media and its suite of monstrously successful channels is more than a key platform, they are a partner. It has been a true pleasure watching us both grow together in this bright light in the movie distribution landscape.”

Australian film “Convict” is also among the many recent success stories for VA Media, with its bespoke social monetisation strategy delivering over 27M global views on YouTube in 12 months and six-figure revenue for its content partner.

VA Media continues to expand its network with newly launched Owned & Operated channels including Luxury Living, The Unexplained Universe, Inside the Music, and a highly successful Spanish language channel, Movie Central en Español along with an upcoming Portuguese language channel. VA Media has recently completed license deals with UFOTV, Echelon Studios, All Channel Films, FilmHub, Devilworks, Lifesize, and Fairway Films to add new and expanding genres and content to its channel offerings.
