ViX presented "Ellas Soy Yo, Gloria Trevi" biopic in Mexico City

The bioseries, produced by Carla Estrada, will premier exclusively on the service's premium plan beginning 11 August. The first five episodes will be available on the premier day, with the remaining of 50 episodes to be released every week.

ViX unveiled details about the bioseries "Ellas Soy Yo, Gloria Trevi," translated as "They Are Me, Gloria Trevi" at a press conference in Mexico City. The original production will premier exclusively on the service's premium plan beginning 11 August. The first five episodes will be available on the premier day and new episodes will be released every week until completing the 50 episodes that make up the series. 

"Ellas Soy Yo, Gloria Trevi" is produced and executively produced by Carla Estrada. The story was written by Eric Vonn, Lele Portas, Marco Tulio Socorro and Carla Estrada. The title will form part of Vix's catalog, which features more than 75,000 hours of on-demand content and more than 100 streaming channels, all in Spanish. The application has two levels of access, one free and one premium with a subscription, and is available in the U.S., Mexico and most of Latin America, across all major mobile platforms, connected TV devices and on the web at vix.com.

The bioseries presents the story of Gloria de los Ángeles Treviño Ruíz, a fifteen-year-old girl who travels from Monterrey to Mexico City to participate in a television contest that seeks to find the double of a famous young actress. Gloria wants to become a music star and in that attempt a man twice her age will become her mentor and then her predator. For 17 years he will subject her to a terrifying journey in which, after achieving success and fame, Gloria will lose everything and will have to make an enormous resilience effort to survive and rebuild her life and career.
