SPORTEL Monaco has concluded, reaffirming its role as the world’s largest networking and content marketplace for the sports media and tech industry. Over the course of three intensive days, SPORTEL brought together a group of top industry players, including global media executives and tech innovators, with more than 46% representing C-level executives. The 34th edition of SPORTEL Monaco hosted over 2,000 participants who filled the bustling 7,000-square-meter exhibition and market floor to explore and discuss the latest trends shaping the future of sports.

Let's now take a look at some of the event's key figures. The event gathered 2,000 participants, with 29% of them being content buyers and 46% C-level executives. It welcomed 800 companies, including 160 newcomers, from 72 countries. The geographical distribution included 64% from Europe, 16% from the Americas, 10% from Asia, and the remaining 10% from other regions, such as Africa, the Middle East, and Oceania.

This year’s Conference Summit offered the SPORTEL community an offer of masterclasses, keynotes, and presentations, delivered by leading industry figures and disruptive innovators. The programming captured the most relevant topics and upcoming trends. Companies like AWS, LiveU, Pixellot, and WSC Sports captivated attendees with their latest innovations in AI video streaming and new platforms, while a powerful panel featuring OBS, Alibaba Group, and WBD reflected on the outstanding broadcast success of the Paris 2024 Olympics. Further discussions delved into topics like the production of sports docuseries, the evolving role of sponsorship as a revenue driver, the global rise of cricket as a sport, and new models of fan engagement.

Inspiring discussions with former football stars turned entrepreneurs, Marco Materazzi and Gerard Piqué, added a dynamic layer to the event. To further enhance the now-famous Speakers' Corner, SPORTEL introduced the brand-new Innovation Stage, which welcomed several first-time presenters at SPORTEL. The 2024 event also introduced new features, including the inaugural Women’s Lunch, celebrating the accomplishments and influence of women in the sports industry.
