The Kitchen will once again attend the MIFA convention, scheduled for June 8–14, in Annecy, France. Julie Beneteau, Director of International Sales, noted that she would be attending the event on behalf of The Kitchen’s global team, emphasizing its importance as "THE convention of the year in terms of animation." She highlighted the international appeal of the gathering, which draws both professionals and aspiring students, expecting over 18,000 participants this year.

She acknowledged that the event’s popularity has started to create logistical challenges, stating that Annecy might soon struggle to accommodate the growing number of visitors. Despite these issues, she underlined the unique charm of the location and the strong sense of community: animation, she said, is fueled by a small circle of kind and passionate, very ‘big’ children who are in love with animation.

Beneteau also expressed enthusiasm about reconnecting with clients and partners, and watching international showcases to explore opportunities for helping creators globalize their content. She pointed out that in today’s tight market, where many producers and distributors have close to non-existent localization budgets, creativity and flexibility are essential. According to her, this is where The Kitchen’s proactive approach stands out.

Looking ahead, she expects that AI will be a central topic of discussion at the event. As she concluded, it will be crucial to help clients understand how to integrate AI technologies effectively: "It is all about educating clients to see how we can use the current AI technology effectively, to fit their specific needs and expectations," stated.
