Conecta 2023: 19 awards among 30 finalist projects in 5 pitching categories

The seventh edition of the international event has awarded 19 prizes among the 30 finalist projects that participated in its 5 pitching categories.

Conecta Fiction & Entertainment 2023 Awards Ceremony was held, where the winners of the various awards given to the projects participating in the five pitching categories organized for this year's edition were announced: Copro Series (scripted series and mini-series), High-End Series (high-budget projects), Music Series (series in which music plays a fundamental role), Docudrama Series (dramatized documentaries) and Feelgood Formats (original entertainment formats with a "feel good" component).

The gala, held at 19:30 in the Eurocaja Rural Auditorium in Toledo and hosted by the presenter Manuel Feijoo along with the event director Géraldine Gonard, was preceded by the exclusive premiere of "Time Zone," a new entertainment format created by Zeppelin and Endemol Shine Nederland (Banijay) to be launched on HBO Max on 14 July. The presentation featured Miguel Martín, Managing Director of Zeppelin; Miguel Salvat, VP Original Programming and Commissioning Editor HBO Max Iberia; and the celebrity contestants Antón Lofer and Joana Pastrana. The panel was moderated by Irene Jiménez, co-founder and TV editor of the specialist media Audiovisual451.

Conecta Fiction & Entertainment 2023 Awards are:

 -RTVE Award, consisting of a project development contract for the best project of the Spanish talent pitching sessions: "Wellborn Family" by Zebina Guerra and Jorge Yúdice (Spain)

 -CMMEDIA Award, consisting of the recording of a promotional clip of the selected project: "Carbon 14" by iZen Producciones (Spain)

- SPAIN FILM COMMISSION Award, consisting of €3,000 for the project that best showcases Spanish locations: "Favàritx" by TV ON Producciones &
EMPÁTIC Comunicación (Spain)

- WARNER MUSIC Award, consisting of three days of Dolby Atmos sound studio at its creative hub, The Music Station in Madrid, to contribute to the creation of promotional materials for the winning project: "Border Statio" by Vertice 360 (Spain)

- TRIODOS BANK Award, consisting of €3,000 to the project that best represents the values and philosophy promoted by Triodos Bank:" Until The Wedding Do Us Par" by Ángela Armero and Alegría Collantes (Spain)

- BTF Award, consisting of €4,000 for the selected project:"Death In The Ande" by GLISK (Germany) & Capacitor (Peru)

- ACORDE Award, consisting of a license for two projects to use its music library for their first season: "Ns55, The Abandoned Sp" by Kometa Producciones and Artemisa Entertainment & Dusko Pictures (Spain), and"Labelled Re" by Minoria Absoluta (Spain)

- ALMA Award, recognition for the best Pitch Clip by the ALMA guild: "Voice" by Santi San Martín (Spain)

- BAM BOGOTÁ Award, consisting of an invitation to pitch at BAM Bogotá:"Cachimb" by AVI Films (Mexico)

- TV DRAMA VISION Award, consisting of an invitation to pitch at TV Drama Vision at the Göteborg Film Festival: "Disgrac" by Story House Pictures (Germany)

- SANFIC INDUSTRIA Award, consisting of an invitation to the Series Lab and pitching sessions of SANFIC Industria:"Dendê by Vandalo (Brazil)

- NEM ZAGREB Award, consisting of an invitation to participate in NEM Zagreb:"The Lak" by Grupo Ganga Producciones (Spain)

- THE CORE Award, recognition of The Core students for the best pitch:"Dendê by Vandalo (Brazil)

- WAWA Award, consisting of five WAWA memberships to the crew of the chosen project and their participation in the WAWA Business Forum:"The Lak" by Grupo Ganga Producciones (Spain)

- BOSQUE DEL CINE Award, consisting of €1,000 and the planting of 25 trees in the Bosque del Cine de Cantabria (Cantabria Film Forest) for the most sustainable project:"Clean Up" by Minoría Absoluta (Spain)

- K IS FOR KNOWLEDGE Award, consisting of a sustainability strategy consultancy with carbon footprint measurement for the most sustainable project:"Clean Up" by Minoría Absoluta (Spain)

- D.O. CASTILLA-LA MANCHA WINES Award, consisting of the weight of the winner in wine:"Tonight You Should Go See The Bos" by Chulada Cine (Spain)
