Conecta Fiction & Entertainment, an international market focused on creating, developing, producing, financing, broadcasting, and marketing television content, announced the opening of its pitching sessions for projects. The submission period extends from February 13 to April 5, 2024, with staggered deadlines depending on the category.

The different international Calls for Projects in the 2024 edition are Copro Series (international co-production projects for TV series or mini-series), High-End Series (high-budget projects with strong audience potential and elements that make them highly appealing), Music Series (fiction series or mini-series projects, in which music plays a fundamental role), Docudrama Series (documentary series with fictionalized elements) and Feelgood Formats (uplifting television format projects aiming to bring a smile to the viewers).

Conecta will present a €50,000 Award in partnership with the Council of Europe, home of Eurimages. The Series Co-production Development Award aims to foster creative collaborations in series co-production and empower independent producers. It involves a non-repayable grant that covers expenses during the project development phase. A formal agreement between the winning project and the Council of Europe will govern the utilisation of this grant.

Géraldine Gonard, director of Conecta Fiction & Entertainment, invites creators with a personal touch: "We're not just hosting an event; we're creating a space for all creators to be part of something special. What defines us is our effectiveness – in 7 years, over 15 finalist series have come to life, produced, or are about to hit the screens. Collaborating with the Council of Europe, home of Eurimages, for this significant award fills us with pride. Join us in our project pitching sessions – it's a chance to be part of something extraordinary!"

The name of the winning project will be revealed during the awards ceremony at the eighth edition of Conecta Fiction & Entertainment, which will take place at The El Greco Conference Center in Toledo from June 18 to 21, 2024.
