Russian leading channel NTV is attending the European Film Market 2021 with more than 100 series and shows including "Fatherland", "The Missing", "Personal Matter", "Baikal Rangers", and "Flashlight". EFM 2021 is part of the 71st Berlin International Film Festival and this year, will be hosted online from March 1 to 5.

NTV’s projects will be presented at its virtual EFM 2021 booth. Also, all film market participants have a chance to enjoy special online screenings of NTV action-packed series in the Series Screenings 2 zone: "The Missing" on March 2 at 3:00 p.m. CET and “Fatherland” on  March 4 at 6:00 p.m. CET.

"The Missing" is an action-packed story of the Zorins, father and son whose jobs are to find missing people: the adult and distinguished Oleg is a policeman, the young and independent Pasha is a volunteer. They butt heads all the time, professionally and personally. The show features real-life father and son as protagonists: Aleksandr and Arseny Robaks, both acclaimed Russian actors. ‘The Missing’ was their first joint project.

"Fatherland" is a dramatic story of an honest journalist and writer whose views have been a little too non-conformist for the paper and the city he lives in. Due to mounting problems, he loses his job, gets behind on mortgage payments; his relationship with his daughter becomes rocky. The hero decides to take the side of those he’s spent his life fighting. He gets a job as a press secretary at the city council. That leads to a series of events he tries his best to handle, but the line between good and evil, truth and lies becomes blurred very soon.

This year NTV takes part in EFM for the first time. Meanwhile, the channel has been successfully distributing its content in Europe for several years and has made a number of high-profile deals. In 2019 Israeli Keshet International bought the rights to three TV series at once — the action-packed crime series "Schubert" and the crime thrillers "The Crow" and "Beyond Death". "The Road to Calvary" series was a success on ERT3 TV Channel in Greece. And thanks to the cooperation with Dori Media Group, the "Shepherd" series was aired Polish Telewizja WP and is set to air on Hungarian RTL.
