This achievement sets a new record for a comedy or musical motion picture, surpassing the nine nominations garnered by “Barbie” in the previous year. The film now stands as the second most-nominated film in the history of the Golden Globes, second only to Robert Altman’s “Nashville” in 1976.
The film’s nominations include Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy; Best Director – Motion Picture for Jacques Audiard; Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for Karla Sofía Gascón; Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture for Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldaña; Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language; Best Screenplay – Motion Picture for Jacques Audiard; Best Original Score – Motion Picture; and Best Original Song – Motion Picture for “El Mal” and “Mi Camino,” composed by Clément Ducol and Camille.
