Esports BAR, the world’s e-sports business arena series, last week celebrated a global attendance at its first digital edition, Esports BAR+ Americas. The digital market brought together the global leaders of the e-sports industry with those businesses that naturally connect and collaborate with the sector, such as brands, traditional sports and venture capitalists, in a brand new completely digital experience for the first time.

The e-sports conference series, which normally takes place in Cannes each February and Miami each September, enjoyed truly global attendance at its debut online edition, attracting industry leaders from more than 40 countries. Moreover, there were 21 attending brands, including Banorte, Chupa Chups, Coca-Cola, HP, Mondelez, Pernod Richard, Red Bull and Universal, to name a few; more than 270 companies registered, and more than 2000 meetings held.

Education and insight on audience engagement were key themes in the event’s panel discussions, which focused on audiences, innovation, investment, and monetization. Other highlights included the announcement from BBL of their partnership with Allegra Pacaembu, creating a complex that will house the largest Battle Royale e-sports arena in the world, and a fully VR DJ set from Arabian Prince in association with Midem, celebrating music in gaming.

In addition to networking, the opportunity for delegates to expand their new business pipelines and panels on all things commercial in the e-sports world, focuses for Esports BAR at its next event, scheduled to take place in Cannes in 2021, will include education, diversity/representation and mental well-being in e-sports.

“At a time when things continue to be uncertain for businesses all over the world, bringing e-sports industry leaders together was more important than ever. Hosting Esports BAR+ Americas online via our broadcast partners easylive.io allowed us to provide a different user experience keeping the industry engaged and our clients connected,”  commented Arnaud Verlhac, Director of Esports BAR.
