Due to the unfortunate cancellation of this year’s edition of MIPTV in Cannes, GMA Network is showcasing its special online catalogue to international buyers in MIPTV Online+. The Philippine company prepared ten highlights for the 2020 edition of the international event that represent the best bet on dramas and included titles as "Descendants of the Sun"; "Broken Faith", "A Place in your Heart" and "Hidden Lies".
GMA Network is also offering the dramas series "Love of my Life"; "Obsession", "Prima Donnas", "The Gift", "The Silent Thief" and the romantic comedy "My Crown Princes".
THE DRAMAS IN DETAILS
Adapted from the hit series from South Korea, "Descendants of the Sun" tells the story of Lucas and Maxine, two people brought together by destiny. Lucas is a professional soldier and captain of the special forces of the Philippine military. He meets Maxine, a talented and dedicated surgeon. He is instantly attracted to her and they begin to date. Unfortunately, their professions and responsibilities keep getting in the way and they decide to part ways.
The suspense drama “The Gift” (50x45’ approx.) starring GMA’s top talent, Alden Richards. It tells the story of Joseph (Richards) who becomes a clairvoyant after a near-death experience, while "The Silent Thief" (45 x 45’) is about a mother’s desperate efforts to find her kidnapped son.
"Broken Faith” is headlined by actress Sunshine Dizon and tells the intriguing story of two women’s deep-rooted rivalry and how a daughter and her husband will be caught in between. Also, part of the special offer of GMA is the family drama “Prima Donnas” (40x45’) where Lillian becomes the surrogate mother of Jaime and Maita’s triplets, but Kendra learns about this and plots to kill Maita, Lilian, and the unborn children.
