ITV Studios made headlines at MIPCOM 2025 with two major international format deals, reinforcing its position as one of the world’s leading creators and distributors of entertainment content. The announcements spotlight the company’s ability to adapt its most successful shows for audiences across different cultures and platforms.
In Norway, Amazon Prime Video has commissioned a local version of the acclaimed dating format “I Kissed a Boy.” Originally produced for the BBC in the UK, the series has gained recognition for its heartfelt and inclusive approach to modern dating. The Norwegian adaptation, produced by ITV Studios Norway, will be hosted by Emilie Voe Nereng and set in an idyllic Italian villa where single men begin their search for love with a kiss.
The show removes the distractions of dating apps to focus on authentic chemistry and real connections. As new participants enter the scene, relationships are tested in unexpected ways. Produced for Prime Video Norway, the series celebrates queer love and diversity and is set to premiere later this year.
Meanwhile, ITV Studios’ high-adrenaline entertainment format “SHARK! Celebrity Infested Waters” is heading to Australia. Following its successful debut in the UK, where it ranked among ITVX’s top entertainment titles, the format has been commissioned by the NINE Network. ITV Studios Australia will produce the local version, titled “SHARK!,” for broadcast in 2026.
David Mott, Managing Director of ITV Studios Australia, said the team was thrilled to bring the format to local audiences: “‘SHARK! Celebrity Infested Waters’ combines jaw-dropping entertainment with a strong environmental message,” he noted."
The series features ocean-fearing celebrities facing their fears as they dive alongside some of the ocean’s most misunderstood predators. Filmed in the Bahamas, it blends adventure with education, encouraging viewers to see sharks as vital to marine ecosystems rather than symbols of fear.
