The Kyiv Media Week, the biggest Ukrainian forum for the AV industry, ‘22 traveling edition continues its journey to the next destination – MIA International Audiovisual Market which will take place on October 11-15, 2022, in Rome.

After the success at the Serial Killer festival in Brno KMW will introduce special events within the official program of MIA – the biggest Italian market converging all the segments of the audiovisual industry. For the first time in its history, part of the official program of the market is focused on Ukraine, and the KMW discussion is proud to be presented along with the wider Ukrainian program.

“At the very beginning of my mandate, when exploring possibilities of showing concrete support to Ukrainian colleagues from the Film, TV, and Media industry, we thought that the best way to strengthen them was structuring a concrete initiative, a brand-new supporting scheme for MIA, the B2B Exchange Program, opening to a full slate of panels and industry activities organized directly or in co-hosting with our Ukrainian partners and fostering the international support toward talented professionals. A decision that means putting back the Ukrainian industry at the forefront of international conversations and business.”Gaia Tridente, Director of MIA (Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo).

On October 15, "The Social Impact of Content" panel discussion powered by KMW will take place. This session will combine two key narratives: the first focus will be on the impact of entertainment content on people’s daily life and political agenda, and the second will unveil the importance of the European pubcasters’ openness to revealing Ukraine to the EU audience. Jarmo Lampela, Head of Drama, YLE; Andriy Taranov, Board Member, Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine SUSPILNE UKRAINE; and Dawn McCarthy-Simpson MBE, Managing Director of Global Strategy, PACT, UK will participate in the panel.

In addition, the whole Ukrainian delegation in Rome – including KMW speakers and organizers as well as Ukrainian Content.
