MIP CANCUN confirmed strong and diverse participation for its upcoming 12th edition, taking place from 18 to 21 November 2025, with notable increases in the number of distributors, buyers, and participating countries—many of which will be attending for the first time.
Just three weeks ahead of the leading Content and Co-Production Market for the Latin American and US Hispanic television industry, figures reveal that 120 distributors have been confirmed for 1-to-1 meeting tables, up from 115 in 2024. Moreover, the number of buyers is projected to rise by at least 6% compared to last year’s total of 221, with debuting companies from across the Americas (including Bell Media, Blue Ant Media, Lego, Roku, and V10 Entertainment), Europe (HRT and Starlight Media), and Asia (TCL). For the first time, delegations from Japan, South Korea, Italy, and Thailand will join the event, bringing the total number of participating countries to 47, an increase from 40 in 2024.
In addition, the future-facing conference program will highlight the creator economy, with Juan Pablo Robert, Head of Media Companies for YouTube Spanish Latin America, delivering the Opening Keynote. New features include a Brand Funded Programming track designed to connect brands, agencies, and producers, as well as the inaugural, invitation-only Leadership Summit, which will convene some of the region’s most insightful thought leaders and influential decision makers.
María Perez-Bellière, Director of MIP CANCUN highlighted the growth of the event: “This will be a landmark edition of MIP CANCUN. The MIP CANCUN community continues to evolve, strengthened by new buyers, investors, and greater country diversity, while placing the key areas shaping the future of the content business at the heart of the market. We’re encouraged by the growing number of attendees and the positive response to our new initiatives, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to the world’s largest production hub for Spanish-language content for what promises to be an inspiring and productive week," expressed.
The 12th edition will begin with a special pre-opening afternoon on Tuesday, 18 November, featuring the Beyond Streaming Summit—an expanded version of the popular FAST & AVOD: Americas Summit from recent editions—which will explore strategies, content curation, and the role of free ad-supported platforms within an increasingly digital-first ecosystem.
