Mip Cancun 2025: Warner Bros. Discovery and Grupo Xcaret executives to headline keynote

Nicolás McCormack and Luis Carlos Velázquez will explore trends and transformation in branded entertainment at a market expecting 1,000 delegates from over 40 countries.

Mip Cancun has announced that Nicolás McCormack, Vice President of Ad Sales for Mexico and Central America at Warner Bros. Discovery, and Luis Carlos Velázquez, Chief Marketing Officer at Grupo Xcaret, will deliver a keynote session during the 12th edition of the content and co-production market, taking place from November 18–21, 2025, at Moon Palace Cancun. The session, scheduled for November 20 at 09:00 in the Moon Palace Cancun Theater, will focus on the evolution of branded entertainment in Latin America and the increasing integration of brands into the audiovisual ecosystem.

McCormack brings extensive leadership experience in sales, strategic planning, and innovation. At Warner Bros. Discovery, he oversees commercial growth strategies and develops multiplatform solutions that connect brands with consumers across Mexico and Central America. He commented, “At Warner Bros. The keynote is part of Mip Cancun’s expanded branded content program, developed in collaboration with Produ and strategic partners Publicis Rebellion and Agens, alongside the Branded Content Marketing Association (BCMA) in Spain and Mexico. Velázquez, as a leading voice in tourism and experiential branding, will join McCormack to address how branded content strategies are evolving, and what new models of collaboration are emerging in the regional marketplace.

The 2025 edition of Mip Cancun is expected to host up to 1,000 delegates from more than 40 countries, bringing together buyers, producers, and distributors from global studios and major players across the Americas and beyond. The event continues to position itself as a central hub for Spanish-language content and cross-border partnerships.
