Globo unveiled its content catalog for MIP Cancun 2022.“We’re internationally known for our telenovelas, especially in Latin America," "They are the true apple of the eye of the Brazilian viewers and travel across borders," Globo’s Sales Manager, Pablo Ghiglione, said. "We tell highly attractive stories, with renowned actors and actresses, besides the high technical quality of work, which demonstrate our competitiveness and versatility in the market, with productions aimed at diversified viewers’ profiles."

The titles featured in the slate are "Pantanal," "In Your Place," eight-part series, "Rensga Hits," one-hour, "A Life To Die For," "A Trick of Fate," and one-hour series, and "Rota 66: The Killer Unit." During the event, Globo’s Sales Manager, Pablo Ghiglione, will take part in the panel presentation “Spotlight on Brazil: a view to its voices, content and evolution of the sector” at the Cancun Theater, on the 14th at 5:30 PM. Together with other professionals, he will discuss the strength of Brazilian productions - whose presence around the world grows stronger each day, with content that is original, relevant and diversified -, besides presenting some of Globo’s highlights that confirm this movement to the international market.

One of the highlighted titles is “Pantanal,” which received a significant audience during its run in Brazil. The story, a classic family saga, already a huge hit in the country 30 years ago thanks to the writer Benedito Ruy Barbosa, was updated to a new version written by his grandson, Bruno Luperi. Reinforcing the technical quality of Globo’s works, “Pantanal” is a contestant for the Premios Produ award for best telenovela, an award of the audiovisual industry that promotes Latin and Spanish works, and the Rose d’Or Awards, an event that chooses the best work of international TV.

Another work Globo is betting on is “In Your Place”, written by Lícia Manzo, who also wrote “The Life We Lead”, a work that has been licensed in over 130 countries. “In Your Place” signaled the restart of new telenovelas after the pandemic in Brazil, starting the return of the production of new stories never seen before at Globo Studios. It is currently being broadcasted in channels such as Teledoce, in Uruguay; SIC, in Portugal; and RTL, in Hungary.
