French distributor Only Distrib is heading to MIPCOM 2024 with new documentaries and series in the areas of science, lifestyle, nature and society. The company unveils a new line-up for the Cannes market, adding new documentaries in science starting with "Lights Off" (1x52’) that tells the audience more about light pollution. Researchers have demonstrated that light pollution contributes to the alteration of biodiversity. Naturalist associations and amateur astronomers are joining forces to raise awareness about this subject. A new season of the successful series "Shapers of Tomorrow" (12x52’) that focuses on technological innovations will also be in this MIPCOM line up.

In the topic of nature, "Eating: The Power To Save The Ocean" (1x90’ or 1x52’) is leading the genre by showing how humans could preserve the ocean by changing the way they consume and produce food. Although the connections between what we eat and the ocean are invisible, they are not less real. An important movie that brings solutions to a vital problem that has already been picked up by a few broadcasters for Earth Day month in April.

The distributor is also growing its offer on the society genre with the series "Polyamory" (6x26’) that follows several polyamorous at different stages of polyamory. Between jealousy, sexuality, traditions, and personal needs, understand their love lives in a traditionally monogamous society. The one-off "Football, A Way Out" (1x45’) is showing the determination and power of football coach Alex to lead his team to victory and out of the streets.

Lifestyle is not at rest with the addition of the true-crime series "Machine Gun Molly" (4x45’), the story of Monica as told by her son, Gilles Tessier. It’s a look at the legacy of crime passed down from mother to son. "Saint Lawrence: A River of Mysteries" (8X26’) sees maritime investigator Samuel Côté diving deep into obscure and untold stories. A waterway not always as calm as it seems, and one we mistakenly believe has no more secrets to reveal.
