Also from BBC Studios Natural History Unit and launching at MIPCOM 2024 are “Big Cats 24/7” and “Expedition Killer Whale.”
“Big Cats 24/7” (6x60’), co-produced by PBS, is a raw, unfiltered observational wildlife series which sees an elite camera team follow individual lions, cheetahs and leopards for six months, over two extreme seasons in the vast and beautiful Okavango Delta, Botswana. The series shows their battle to survive in an increasingly challenging world.
“Expedition Killer Whale” (1x60’) is a one-off film co-produced by the BBC Studios Natural History Unit with PBS which takes viewers on a deep dive into the fascinating world of the killer whale. From BBC Studios Specialist Factual productions, and co-produced by PBS, “Renaissance: The Blood and The Beauty” (3x60’) delves into the life of Michelangelo, his relationships with DaVinci and Raphael and how he became ensnared in the bloody and brutal dynastic battles of some of the Renaissance’s most powerful patron. Through dramatic storytelling, intricate graphics and intimate interviews, experts will unravel the history, faith and politics behind the characters who shaped the era.
Unscripted titles from BBC Studios Factual Entertainment being presented at Mipcom 2024 include “Paddy and Chris: Road Tripping” (3x60’), which sees Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris travel across Europe on a mission to explore the secrets to living a long and full life, and “Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby Series 6” in which barrister Rob Rinder and chef Monica Galetti go behind the scenes in more of the world’s most extraordinary hotels.
