France tv distribution has revealed the new slate of programs for the upcoming MIPJunior and MIPCOM that will take place from October 10th to 15th in a virtual way.

On the drama side, the company will show "Something To Hide" (4x52'), produced by Thalie Images. The show is based on the French justice case, the Iacono case, which was ideally talked about from 2000 to 2014. Another title is "Derby Girl", directed by Nikolas Lange and produced by Noon (Kabo Productions). This series (10x22') soon to be shown on france.tv slash, introduces viewers to the secrets of a still poorly-known sport: Roller Derby. Featuring brilliant performances from ‘badass’ female characters, it combines a lot of humor and girl power. The last one is "Parliament", a cosmopolitan series (10x26') written by authors from different countries and two members of the European parliament. It is produced by Cinétévé.

KIDS CONTENT

France tv distribution's animation offer includes "Ana Pumkin" (52x5'), produced by Folimage / Les Armateurs. The series introduces the world of a little girl of five years old and her everyday adventures. With the help of her loving, confident family, Ana explores the world around her in her own way, full of joy and curiosity, even if she sometimes finds out that her way is not always the best. Also "Disco Dragon", a feel-good series currently in development (52x13') produced by Mondo TV. It stars Disco and Betty, a hilarious musical duo who have decided their mission in life is to help every child find their Groove. And "Grosha & Mr B.", currently being produced by La Station Animation, this animated series (52x11') with a very different approach is a children’s take on the detective genre and cult comedy-action films.

FACTUAL PROPOSAL

The new factual catalog is composed of "European Bison: An Odyssey" that reigned across its continental turf for hundreds of thousands of years. Some of them are still living in Poland's Bialowieza, the last primeval forest in the whole of Europe. Almost 3,000 individuals inhabit this unique ecosystem but they're running out of the room. In this documentary, produced by Cocotte Minutes Productions (1x52') and to be aired on France 5,  we follow them until the age of two, at which point they head off on a journey to Romania. "Earth, A Living Body", a film produced by Mona Lisa Productions (1x90') and to be aired on France 5, shows it from a totally original angle – like a giant living body capable of regulating itself in order to maintain a balance at all times.

Two parts film "The Women Of Nazi Germany" (2x52'), produced by Injam Production, first shows how women’s place in society changed from the late 1920s to the Nazis’ rise to power, reducing women to the status of “child-bearers” from 1933 to 1939. In the second episode (titled “Women at War”) we see how, from 1939 to 1945, the pressure of war influenced women’s role in German society and in the framework of the "care policy,” especially in the eastern colonies.
