"White Fever"
ABC Commercial is heading into MIPTV 2024 with a bang, launching a huge slate of content, which includes spicy rom-com "White Fever" and Miriam Margolyes’ new series "Impossibly Australian."
Leading the slate is 6 x 30’ comedy series "White Fever" a cheeky rom-com about a Korean-Australian adoptee with a love of hairy white guys who goes on a journey to reprogram her libido. It stars series creator Ra Chapman alongside Chris Pang ("Crazy Rich Asians" and will premiere on the ABC network in April 2024.
In addition, Miriam Margolyes returns for another adventure in 3 x 60’ factual entertainment series "Impossibly Australian", where she sets out to learn what it means to embrace change and face the future.
Australia’s unique wildlife and stunning landscapes are on display in "Living With Devils", which sees acclaimed filmmaker Simon Plowright spend a year in the wild with the endangered Tasmanian Devil.
More strong factual content comes in the form of Blackfella Films’ bold social experiment, "Meet the Neighbours", while Chemical Media's "Who The Bloody Hell Are We?" uncovers the stories that the history books left out. Format rights are available for both programs.
Arts and music come to the fore with new performances from world-renowned companies "The Australian Ballet (Don Quixote)" and "Opera Australia (La Traviata)" while true crime and fine arts collide in two-part documentary "The Whiteley Art Scandal."
For children, ABC Commercial will bring the engaging and relatable pre-school series "Fizzy & Suds" plus a new season of "The Wiggles’ Ready, Steady, Wiggle!"
