Armoza Formats confirmed that reality competition format, "The Fittest Pensioner," has been commissioned in Poland. The local adaptation will air on leading broadcaster Polsat.

"‘The Fittest Pensioner’ fits a need in the market right now – a feel-good reality format which is also meaningful," Amos Neumann, COO at Armoza Formats, said.  "The format gives a platform to a group that doesn’t often get celebrated on TV, though is loved universally – our seniors. We’re very much looking forward to meeting the Fittest Pensioners of Poland!”

Originally created and produced by Montreux Film, the format aired on TV2 in Norway and accelerated the growth of the channel’s average share by 20%, surpassingall other reality shows on TV2 by 171%! The viewership grew steadily every week, reaching the highest shares of the summer, culminating in the grand finale which was a nationwide TV event, breaking a record of 43% share with the 10-39 key commercial target!

"In The Fittest Pensioner," 10 of the nation’s fittest seniors move into a home together, for a fierce competition where they will face multiple challenges.  To claim the title, they will compete in both mental and physical challenges, with the aim to perform their best and get a high ranking. The person with the lowest score will be up for elimination, battling it out to save their spot in the house.
