NATPE TO HOST FIRST-EVER AUDIO INDUSTRY-RELATED EVENT

The program, “NATPE Virtual: ContentCast – The Business of Podcasting Content” will feature market executives who will discuss connections between audio and television, and podcasts’ ability to strengthen brands, attract new audiences, and create investment opportunities.

NATPE has unveiled its first-ever audio-centered virtual event, “NATPE Virtual: ContentCast – The Business of Podcasting Content.” “The NATPE’s mission as the indispensable resource of content is to provide, inform and connect on new opportunities for our constituency,” NATPE’s President and CEO JP Bommel, said. 

The event serves as the most recent to be produced under NATPE's banner, followed by NATPE Budapest International, NATPE StreamingPlus, and NATPE Miami 2022. “It is without question that podcasting has grown into a powerful force, attracting new audiences, support from brands, and investments from major media and tech companies,” Bommel said. “This event is about the monetization of these opportunities presented by the business of podcasting content.”

The presentation dedicated to audio and its place in the content industry, will feature content producers, distributors, streamers, and buyers across all platforms whowill lead a discussion on the intersection between audio and television, both in taking IP from podcast to screen and as a powerful tool for television brands to service their audience.

The conference will begin with the “State of the IP Union” featuring Propagate Chairman & Co-CEO Ben Silverman and SiriusXM President and Chief Content Officer, Scott Greenstein, joined by Brian Baumgartner, star of “The Office” and host of the “Office Deep Dive” podcast. Andrew Wallenstein, President and Chief Media Analyst of Variety Intelligence Platform will be sitting down to discuss their perspectives on audio as a growing piece of the content industry. 

Propagate has a first-look deal with SiriusXM for oral history podcasts based on iconic entertainment properties. Additional executives from companies that have made contributions to the audio industry will be featured at the event, including Audible, Black Love Inc., Edison Research, GroupM, iHeartMedia, Imperative, RoosterTeeth, Triton Digital, ViacomCBS, Wolf Entertainment, and Wonder Media Network. More names and companies will be revealed as the show approaches. Moderators for the sessions include top minds covering the audio industry including Nick Quah (HotPod) and James Cridland (Podnews).
