Nem Dubrovnik 2023 to feature 12 keynotes, 60 speakers and exclusive screenings

Major executives will give valuable insight in the complex and ever-changing TV industry at the 10th edition of CEE market as well as screenings and TV tech presentations.

The complete agenda for NEM Dubrovnik 2023, which will be held from June 5 to 8 2023 at the Dubrovnik Palace Hotel, has been published. The 10th edition of CEE market will be the biggest yet, with 12 keynote speakers giving valuable insight in the complex and ever-changing TV industry. They are Victoriya Boklag, CEO, United Group, Jamie Cooke, GM CEE, Baltics, Middle East, Mediterranean, Turkey and EMEA Pay TV and Creative Agency, Warner Bros. Discovery, Vladimir Lučić, CEO, Telekom Srbija, Dimitris Michalakis, COSMOTE TV Executive Director at Hellenic Telecommunications Organisation.

KEY TOPICS AND PANELS
The opening session will be a tribute to ten exciting years of building the NEM brand, which will be reflected on during the panel “10 Years of NEM” sponsored by Mediavision. Another panel will be “What Makes Content Buyers Tick and How Do They Find That Perfect Fit?”, sponsored by Prva TV. “Europe And Broadcasters: Challenges and Opportunities” is a panel sponsored by ACT. The panel “Central Europe: What Story Do We Want To Tell The World?”, sponsored by TVP World, will detect where the CEE region stands regarding its image and identity.

During the panel “Is Europe Being Territorially Divided In Terms of Global Streamers’ Investments?” attendees will find out what the future holds for Eastern European originals. SVOD services and operators dealing with inflation and the effects of an overcrowded market will be discussed at the panel “End-User Pricing Wars.”

The panel “Must-Offer In Croatia” will offer insight to new conditions regarding the anticipated fees and how this will affect cable operators and FTAs and during the “Everything You’ve Always Wanted To Know About Fast But Were Afraid To Ask” panel, attendees will earn everything about the business and technicalities of Free Ad-supported Streaming TV (FAST).

TV TECH SHOWCASE AND PRESENTATIONS
A special part of the agenda is TV Tech Showcase, a slot dedicated to technology companies that improve the growth and development of the TV industry with their innovative solutions. Anette Schaefer, Big Picture will host the panel and showcase by companies Comcast Technology Solutions, Broadpeak, Gcoreand Sandbox Group. Valuable knowledge will also be shared through presentations by Haymi Behar, SPI International (a Canal+ Company), Marcel Satanek, Slovak Telekom and Digi Slovakia, and Aymeric Genty, Eutelsat, Maria Rua Aguete, Executive Director, Technology Fellow, Omdia.

SCREENINGS OF FRESH CONTENT
The first day will be warmed up with an exclusive screening, drinks and buffet dinner by Sony Pictures Television. Afterwards, Eutelsat will have a party at the Rooftop Terrace providing that special NEM Dubrovnik view.

On the second day, attendees will find out about the novelties from Lionsgate during a special showcase. Happy Hour and networking by the pool will be powered by Paramount Global Content Distribution and, after the spectacular sunset, Telekom Srbija will dominate the second night with their exclusive announcement Panel followed by a big party at the Vala Beach Club.

During the third day, BBC Studios will showcase their new content after which Pickbox NOW & Pickbox TV will host Lunch with Cocktails for all participants, TVP World will treat all attendees with a Happy Hour at the Pool Terrace followed by all participants heading to a Brilliant Change Event sponsored by The Walt Disney Company at Lazareti Night Club in Dubrovnik Old City.
