The fifth edition of the RTVE Showcase will be held from May 8th to 10th at the Hotel Puerta América in Madrid. The event will be inaugurated by RTVE's interim president, Concepción Cascajosa, and hosted by journalist Elena S. Sánchez. Additionally, it will feature the presence of actors, directors, and producers of the content to be presented at the event, along with television executives from over 30 countries worldwide interested in discovering RTVE's latest offerings. Among the participants are executives from leading international audiovisual companies from the United States, Mexico, China, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, South Korea, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Cyprus, Finland, Lithuania, Poland, and Turkey.

The goals of the RTVE Showcase are to engagingly display what public broadcasting produces and where it is heading in a global audiovisual world; increase the international sale of its products; boost its image abroad as a driver of the Spanish audiovisual industry, and strengthen ties with key players on the international scene.

The fifth edition of the Showcase will include several panel discussions on the hottest topics in the international audiovisual market, featuring prominent creators and managers from the industry. In the round table on "International Co-productions," led by Rafael Bardem, RTVE's deputy sales director of programs and licenses, participants will include Aleksandra Martinovic, Susanne Frank, Patricia Motilla, and Emilio Amaré.

José Pastor, RTVE's Director of Film and Fiction, will moderate the panel on "Trends in Spanish Production"; and journalist Elena S. Sánchez will host the one titled "Fiction with a Female Perspective." Industry professionals such as Ángeles González-Sinde, Virginia Yagüe, Ramón Campos, José Manuel Lorenzo, José María Irisarri, Itsaso Arana, Violeta Salama, Samantha López, Aurora Guerra, Pilar Blasco, Daniel Écija, and Javier Olivares will participate in these discussions.

Iberseries & Platino Industria will host one of the scheduled coffee breaks within the Showcase. The event, celebrating its fourth edition from October 1st to 4th in Madrid, serves as a meeting point for platforms, television networks, creatives, producers, distributors, buyers, financiers, and other professionals and experts in the Ibero-American film and audiovisual sector. Its aim is to provide visibility to Spanish and Portuguese feature films and series, enhance business and talent connections, promote international co-production, and facilitate the global commercialization of content to consolidate projects and new funding opportunities.

Alongside the panel discussions, a private viewing area will be set up for participating executives. Over 500 hours of RTVE productions of all genres—fiction, documentary, entertainment, and factual—will be available to all attendees at the Hotel Puerta América in Madrid.
