Series Mania 2025
With over 108,000 participants (+10%), 11,872 school entries (+70%), 30,000 visitors to the Forever 90's exhibition, 4,259 on the Series Mania Bus Tour in the Hauts-de-France region and 22,000 simultaneous connections when the ticket office opened (+175%), Series Mania once again demonstrated its power to attract an ever-growing audience, generating substantial tourism and economic impact. "Series Mania confirms its unique role as a popular event, a showcase for international creation and a strategic lever for the industry," said Laurence Herszberg, General Director of the event.
In terms of programming, 48 series from 19 countries were selected from 418 applications, across 112 screenings in 5 festival halls, in the presence of almost 800 guests and talents. Among them: Audrey Fleurot, Jonathan Cohen, Amanda Seyfried, Charlie Brooker, Alain Chabat, Christina Hendricks, Gilles Lellouche, François Hollande, Kyan Khojandi, Edvyn Riding, Miguel Bernardeau and James Norton.
Popular success was also reflected in a spectacular rise in ticket sales, with 34,000 bookings recorded in a single day (+54%), to the point of temporarily saturating the servers.
AN EXTENDED FORUM
With over 5,000 accredited professionals (+20%) representing 75 countries, 60 conferences, 60 pitch sessions, 84 exhibitors, 25 international delegations, and the presence of 2 French ministers (Rachida Dati, Clara Chappaz), Series Mania Forum confirmed its central role on the international scene.
Launched this year, the Buyers Upfront initiative - a prelude to the Forum - was an immediate success, bringing together around a hundred of the 500 international fiction buyers present at Lille Grand Palais, to discuss the nuggets of tomorrow. Four awards were also presented at Series Mania Forum, in recognition of innovation and creativity within the serial industry.
Series Mania Institute, now an integral part of the event's ecosystem, also made its mark this year with its participation in the Creative Bazaar, its highlights at the Forum and the preview screening of the mini-series "Maslow", produced by talents from the Tremplin training program. The series is now available on Slash.
