The series “Tales of Tomorrow: Prelude to a Revolution”, directed by Pedro de Lima Marques from Rio Grande do Sul and produced by Bactéria Filmes and Druzina Content, also from Rio Grande do Sul, will be presented, in an unprecedented way, during Content Americas, held from January 20 to 23 in Miami, USA. The event, in its third edition, is one of the meetings that open the circuit's annual international calendar, connecting audiovisual sectors in Latin America and North America with the rest of the world.

The project has the support of RS Fantástico, an initiative that marks the resumption of audiovisual production in Rio Grande do Sul after the floods that devastated the state in 2024. The series is expected to be shot in 2026, and the intention of the producers at the event is to attract supporters to join the project, seeking strategic international partnerships to expand the reach and complete the financing of the production.

Pedro de Lima Marques, creator and director of the project explained the title:“Tales of Tomorrow: Prelude to a Revolution is an expansion of the film ‘Tales of Tomorrow’, released by the same director and producers in 2020, selected for more than 30 festivals and winner of 17 international awards. Working on the expansion of a universe is always a challenge. Understanding what sustains this post-apocalyptic world and then figuring out how to destroy it in the series, in an interesting and engaging way for the audience, is an enchanting journey," commented.

In “Tales of Tomorrow: Prelude to a Revolution”, set in 2169, Andrea fights to break down the wall that surrounds Port 01. Her main objective is to destroy the Nucleus, responsible for creating thousands of virtual realities supplied as a kind of drug to the city's population. To do this, she needs the help of Luana, who lives in 2009.

Meanwhile, Daniela Israel, CEO of Bactéria Filmes celebrated the storytelling.“Producing a science fiction series is a unique opportunity to explore imagined worlds, create new visuals and connect fans from all corners of the world. It is in this spirit that we embarked on the series' international journey, inspired by narratives that propose several layers of meaning,” noted.

Finally, Luciana Druzina, CEO of Druzina Content: “Science fiction has a very large audience in Brazil and around the world. They are avid consumers, mostly young adults. Most of their consumption is of American films and series, which are some of the biggest box office hits in Latin America. It's phenomenal to be able to create fantastic stories in our own style, with our own locations and culture. We are passionate about this genre and we really want to take our content and the Brazilian identity in our science fiction productions to the whole world. The exchange of experiences and insights with influential professionals during the event will be essential to ensure that the series reaches its full potential, strengthening our distribution and licensing strategy with high-level platforms and channels," explained.

“Contos do Amanhã: Prelúdio de uma Revolução” (Tales of Tomorrow: Prelude to a Revolution), an initiative supported by RS Fantástico, is one of the projects that marks the strength of the recovery of Rio Grande do Sul's audiovisual sector after the floods that devastated the state in 2024. RS Fantástico is funded by the Regional Audiovisual Ecosystem /LPG No. 13/2023 - Audiovisual IV call for proposals, carried out by the Rio Grande do Sul State Department of Culture - SEDAC/RS in partnership with SICT and with the support of IECINE - the State Film Institute.
