WarnerMedia Latin America is to broadcast the Oscars across its branded channels. This year, the event will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony will air on TNT in Spanish and TNT Series, on Sunday, March 27, at 6:00 PM in Mexico, 7:00 PM in Colombia, and 9:00 PM and in Argentina and Chile, with Ileana Rodríguez and Rafa Sarmiento. TNT coverage will begin with the pre-show “Punto de Encuentro”; Lety Sahagún and Axel Kuschevatzky will be on the red carpet, talking to the stars and celebrities present at the gala in Los Angeles.
Various advertising and other business opportunities will also be offered at the event, which will receive digital coverage before, during, and after the show. Much of the coverage will be accessible on WarnerMedia Latin America’s brands’ Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and Twitter platforms.
This year, Latin artists will have a strong presence at this edition of the Oscars: they are nominated in a number of categories, including best film, best actor, best actress, supporting actress, animated film, original score, original song, and animated short film.
The show will also feature an analysis of the nominees, potential winners, and every detail from the most awaited event in Hollywood. In Chile, the event will be available on CNN Chile, with a live transmission plus an in-depth analysis of a special show hosted by Viviana Encinas and Mónica Rincón. This edition comes in a new format: it will be more competitive than ever, as traditional movie studios will be joined by productions from streaming platforms. On the other hand, for the first time ever, the event will have three female hosts: actors Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes, and performer, producer, and screenwriter Amy Schumer.
