SLING TV OFFERS 14-DAY FREE SLING BLUE SERVICE DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The television service is available through April 5th, and doesn't require a credit card or subscription to register. As a result of the virus outbreak, viewership of Sling TV’s top news channels has risen by over 121% in the last month.

As of 26 March, Sling TV unlocked its Sling Blue service for 14 days free to the public as part of the company’s “Stay In & Sling” initiative amid the coronavirus pandemic. The service is available through April 5th, with no credit card or subscription required to register. "With more states and municipalities issuing shelter-in-place orders, everyone needs the latest information to do their part," said Warren Schlichting, Group President of SLING TV. "We're hoping to motivate Americans to stay home, and stay informed during this critical time."

Sling TV’s Blue service offers more than 45 live channels, free cloud DVR, over 50,000 on-demand titles, and allows viewers to watch on three screens at the same time. The service also offers various popular news channels, including CNN, FOX News, HLN, MSNBC, Bloomberg TV, Cheddar News, Newsy and Local Now. Viewers can access of SLING Blue by visiting the company website. 

As the virus continues to unfold, news consumption on Sling TV’s top news channels has risen by triple digits over the last month, at over 121% in the last month. "Now more than ever American's are anxious to stay up to date, and no other streaming service offers the depth of live news available on SLING Blue," Schlichting said. Last week, SLING TV launched its "Stay in & SLING" initiative to help enforce social distancing at home during the pandemic. The initiative provides Americans with free access to news, along with thousands of shows and movies for a family audience.
