NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises announced the creation of Telemundo Streaming Studios, the first-ever studio in Hispanic media exclusively dedicated to serving the growing Latino streaming audiences in the United States and around the world.

SynProNize, a Dubai-based content distribution and production company, has licensed popular romantic Turkish drama series to TVOne in Pakistan, while Telemundo acquired it for the United States.

The series was licensed for two season following its success in Colombia, the United States, Mexico, Spain, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Venezuela, Uruguay, Guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Puerto Rico. It airs on the network at 8:00 p.m. WAT / 9:00 p.m. CAT.

Executives from NBC, Nielsen, Telemundo, and Estrella Media, among others, discussed how viewership increases resulting from the pandemic shifted the prevalence of local TV and series, and presented opportunities for both markets to attract more viewers and brand investment in 2021.

The network hopes to launch between seven and nine new productions this year and garner more production and distribution partners like Netflix, Movistar, and Peacock, all of which are set to premier Telemundo titles this year.
