The French government is preparing to end the TV license fee later this year. Bruno Le Maire, France’s Minister of the Economy, confirmed that the “contribution to public broadcasting will be permanently abolished this year.”
The French company has committed to producing the popular show’s third season following the global success of the first and second season. The new season is scheduled to air this Summer.
The comedy heist drama will air on NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden, DR in Denmark, RTL in Belgium, and RTS in Switzerland, while Stod 2 in Iceland and HOT Israel have acquired pay TV and SVOD rights.
As a new milestone for Thema Asia Pacific and South East Asia, Mezzo Live HD, Museum TV and Luxe TV launched in India on Jio Reliance, while Museum TV and Insight TV started broadcasting on LG U+ platform in Korea.
