Filmmakers from all corners of the world applied to participate in this tailor-made program for feature film directors who venture into the world of series.
The six-hour drama by Millstreet Films, depicting the life of Argentinian born Máxima Zorreguieta, who later became Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, will premiere on RTL Netherland’s OTT service Videoland on 20 April 2024.
The show is being produced in Belgium before moving to York later this spring. Beta Film will distribute it worldwide, and PBS Distribution holds the North American rights to the series.
Its directors are Bartosz Grudziecki ("The Wall") and Pia Hellenthal ("Searching Eva"). The series is produced by Trimafilm in coproduction with SWR, funded by FFF Bayern and MFG Baden-Württemberg.
The German distribution company has picked up international distribution rights to the Latvian dramady, winner of three Latvian National Film Awards for Best TV-Show, Best Script, and Best Actor.
